Reiley’s journey with TOTAL started almost two years ago as a Project Coordinator before assuming her current role as Assistant Project Manager. With a degree in Biobehavioral Health, Reiley’s academic background merges biological, psychological, and environmental factors to explore health holistically. This interdisciplinary foundation was a natural fit for Total’s mission of ensuring diversity and inclusivity in clinical research.
“I was drawn to TOTAL because of its unwavering commitment to diversity in clinical trials,” Reiley shares. “What sets TOTAL apart is its comprehensive integration of diversity into every stage of the trial process, making clinical research outcomes more relevant and meaningful for all patient populations.”
A Defining Achievement
One of Reiley’s standout accomplishments this year was her work on a pediatric rare disease study. Tasked with achieving ambitious enrollment goals, Reiley successfully navigated challenges to secure 100% participation —an impressive feat given the rarity of the condition studied.
In her words, “This project was particularly meaningful because it showed the power of collaboration and patience. I was fortunate to work closely with a highly motivated site that helped us enroll the final patient on the very last day possible. Meeting the enrollment goal felt like seeing all our hard work come full circle.”
For Reiley, this success wasn’t just about numbers—it was about fostering strong relationships with clinical sites.
She emphasizes that trust and collaboration play a crucial role in ensuring trial success, especially for remote workers who must build meaningful connections with sites, sponsors, and their teams from afar.
Looking Ahead
Reiley is excited for what the future holds. She is eager to continue learning and growing in her role, applying her skills to further TOTAL’s vision of inclusivity in clinical research. She hopes to one day expand her work into the diversity-focused aspects of trials, making an even bigger impact in the field.
Reiley reflects, “Being part of a small company like TOTAL is such a privilege—it allows me one-on-one time with mentors and coworkers and gives me insight into every aspect of research. I’m incredibly thankful for this recognition and for the amazing team around me.”
